Once upon a time there were magical creatures that lived among the trees and bushes of the forest.
They were so well disguised that we could hardly tell them apart from the surrounding vegetation …
except on those rare occasions when they were spotted away from their woodland home.
Now that we are dumping our unwanted waste on the land, they’ve changed their disguise!
What kind of mysterious creatures will emerge from the undergrowth?
Skip Fairies, Dumpster Goblins and Landfill Trolls
A fun workshop for boys and girls from 8 years upwards, using recycled materials to design and make a themed costume culminating in a display and performance show to be held at the Harbour View Hotel on Sunday 4th July as part of Art in Schull. The participants will team up in small groups of 4 or 5 and will design, execute, complete one costume per team. This workshop will draw on the child’s creative as well as co-operative skills. It will allow their artistic side to emerge, whilst using everyday materials which would normally be thrown away.

Dates: Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd July 2010
(with a performance Show on Sun. 4th July
from 5 pm at the Harbour View hotel)
Hours: 3 hours from 10:00am to 13:00pm (Sunday to be confirmed)
Venue: Schull National School
Cost: €35.00 per child - Maximum: 20 children.
