GIRL GUIDES PLANT SALE – FINALLY!
After postponing the sale for the last few weeks because of weather a decision was made to have the sale on this Saturday. The crowd was small, as the weather again played a dirty card and what started as a drizzle soon turned to steady light rain for most of the afternoon. But when all was said and done, the girls made a sum of money that will go towards the activities for this year and help cover some of the costs involved.
Those that braved the weather were not disappointed. Donal and Linda Morgan kindly gave their garden as the host premise for the event and what a magnificent job Donal has made of it. The girls and their parents made cakes and sweets which were speedily snatched up by the visiting crowd. There were 3 cakes which were raffled off and the proud winners were; Ann O’Keeffe, Ter Hogan and .
A special thanks has to go to Donal and Linda, who gave so givingly of their home, garden and time.
